Start with the application.
Molybdenum wire was the starting point of Padmavathi’s manufacturing journey in 1986. Our molybdenum material pathways include rods, lighting wire, wire-cutting requirements and components for heating and electro-vacuum applications. Lamp supports, lead-ins and engineering components each place different demands on the material. Share the end use and required product form so the discussion can focus on the specification your part needs.
Application pathways
- Lighting supports and lead-in wires
- Heating-device and electro-vacuum component requirements
- Wire-cutting material enquiries
What to include in your enquiry
Start with end use, form, diameter or drawing, quantity and supply condition. Request the relevant technical information for your requirement.
Molybdenum: selection guidance
Molybdenum requirements should be separated by their intended use. Lighting supports and lead-in wires, wire-cutting material, heating-device parts and electro-vacuum components are different enquiry pathways. Identify the relevant application before discussing a wire size or a drawing. For a component, include its geometry and the material specification. For wire or rod, explain the required dimensions and supply condition, with units clearly stated.
What information helps with a molybdenum lighting-wire enquiry?
Describe the role of the wire in the lighting assembly, such as a support or lead-in, and include the required diameter, quantity and supply format. If a drawing or established material specification exists, share its designation and revision. These details help distinguish a repeat supply requirement from an initial material-development discussion.
Is molybdenum spray wire the same enquiry as fine wire or rod?
The product forms and application requirements differ. Thermal-spray feedstock should be discussed with the spray process and wire-feed format, while lighting wire and rod or component requirements follow their own dimensional and supply conditions. Use the dedicated molybdenum thermal-spray wire page for coating-material enquiries, or describe the intended use clearly when contacting the team.
