MANUFACTURING & QUALITY

From material to considered form.

Progressive working, application-led discussion and inspection at stages of the manufacturing route.

A MATERIAL-DEPENDENT ROUTE

Precision is a process.

From powder consolidation through swaging, rolling and wire drawing, the manufacturing route is shaped by the material and product requirement.

01

Press & sinter

From powder to a consolidated starting form.

02

Roll & swage

Progressive working to shape the material.

03

Draw

Wire drawing toward the specified form.

04

Inspect

Stage-wise checks against agreed requirements.

Working the material.

Cold isostatic pressing and sintering provide starting stages for powder-based materials. Subsequent working steps can include swaging, rolling and drawing to develop the required product form. The sequence is selected for the material and required product form.

Drawing toward the requirement

Wire drawing progresses through heavy, medium and fine stages as required. A useful enquiry identifies the material, required dimensions and supply condition so the team can review the relevant route and current capability. Any dimensional tolerance or material-property requirement should be agreed against the actual product specification.

Quality through clear requirements

Stage-wise quality control and customer interaction guide our approach. Define inspection needs and required documentation during the technical conversation. Inspection and documentation are discussed against the agreed specification.
